Cats come in various sizes. You will find many big cats, small cats, grey cats and stocky cats. Cats have various species which most of us are not aware of. Only a cat lover will be aware ofits size, its color, the family to which it belongs and other facts about the cats.
The size of the cats depends a lot on various factors. One isthat how much you feed your cat and secondly, how big a cat will get while in its growing years. Thisis something that hardly anybody knows about. Thirdly, what breed arethe cat, what nutrition is requiredfor it and the environment they want in their growing years and a suitable temperature that any feline needs to grow fully?
NUTRITION AND FOOD
When we speak about the food for a cator what to feed the cat, this becomes a tough task to do. Generally speaking, you are not aware that what does your cat wants. You try to feed him mil, buthe wants bread. So this is something very difficult to maintain in their growing years.
Also,a lot depends on the type of food you are feeding your cat; the nutrition that it is getting from that food makes it reaching their full size. While we are discussing the nutrition and food we are giving to our cats, it should be keptin mind that if you are a newcat owner, you need to visit your cat’s doctor to know about its food and other requirements and early discipline for cats. Thisis highly essentialonly then will your cat reach its full size and will be a healthy one.
TYPE OF FOOD TO FEED
There are various types of food that you can feed your cat. It is also not necessary that you feed your cats only twice or thrice. Thiswill not be an appropriatemeal for your cat. It is always advisable to feed your cat in various small meals throughout. If your cat is pregnant, you need to take complete care of your feline’s food and nutrition.
It should get complete nutrition from the food you feed. There are canned foods available in the market, especially for felines, so that you do not confuse with what to feed. These foods are both in dried form and liquid as well. If you’re not sure about the quantity, try giving little portions atvarious intervals.
This way you will gradually come to know about your feline’s early discipline for food. But for better understanding ask yourcat’s doctor about the proportion of food required for feeding.
For instance, with a normal length of a cat, if you see your cat getting obese or overweight than what it should be in its initial years, you know that you are overfeedingit minus the activities. Thisis the size of the cat no matter how heavy it is. So if the cat is of a normal length, but it weighs heavy, andthe length does not increase, it is their regular size or full size. Now we are going to explore that when a cat reaches its full size:
- Adult cat – Any cat is said to be adult when it has reached about 12 months of age. Yes! Thisis the “fact of a cat.” So if a cat that is about or has reached in its 12 months, it is said to be an adult cat. Thisis very much, unlike Now being an adult at the age of almost oneyear simply means that their personality is lockedat this age. Whatever and how much they have to grow, they will dieby the age of 1 year or 12 months. However, this is not true for many breeds. Cats; however, keep growing until they are 18 months old. So different breeds of feline have different growth and personality.
- Maine Coon Cats– These are a breedof cats that are bigger and fuller in size as compared to other cats. Maine Coon cats keep growing until the age of 5 years. A person will get pretty confused that is the cat reaching its full size or is the cat pregnant or has the cat grown overweight or obese. And similar is the case with Siamese cat that reachesits full size even after it reaches 18 months.
Cats that are fed normally get enough to eat with good nutrition in the food. Thishelps the cat reach its full size. But then there are stray cats that do not get proper nutrition in their food as the fact is that they are fedproperly; for such cats, you cannot adhere to 18 months dictum of growing their full size.
